Farm To Table Norichie

The bright, clean house looks over rice paddies and has a well-equipped kitchen and laundry facilities. Its central spot in Akita made it easy to get to Lake Tazawa, Dakigaeri Valley and the Kakunodatemachi Samurai district. Nori-san, Chie and their family made us feel so comfortable and were wonderfully welcoming. They told us about their nutritious farm-to-table meals, showed us around their farm and beautiful garden, and taught us about rice planting. We even spotted a lovely firefly.

The food was incredible, all fresh from their garden, and we had such a memorable evening with Nori & Chie. The house was lovely and heartwarming, in a calm, peaceful setting. There were two of us, and it had everything we needed. We'll remember this stay for a long time.

Chie cooked delicious local Akita food, and Nori & Chie were so welcoming and helpful, explaining everything in detail. One of the best Airbnb stays I've had. I might drop by again in winter.

A new guesthouse sits right beside the owners' cafe, and the cheerful owner makes you feel welcome whether you're traveling alone, with friends or with family. There's plenty to enjoy in the countryside: farming, biking, SUP, snowshoeing, stargazing, or just relaxing. The local food is fresh, with Japanese-style meals tailored to different occasions. They can also prepare a lunch box or serve some excellent Japanese sake. The basics are covered too: Wi-Fi is readily available, the bathroom is clean and has a large bathtub with a shower, and the kitchen is fully equipped. There are two bedrooms, each with two single beds.
