Mozumo - Adults Only

The forest view from our room was lovely, and the room itself was spacious and beautiful. I especially loved having an amazing private bath right there. Compared with the Mitsui in Kyoto, where we also stayed, Mozumo was the better experience for me, despite costing a third as much. One of the best hotels I've stayed at in my life.

This was the most memorable part of our two weeks in Japan. The location was fantastic, and the staff were the friendliest we'd met in the country. We also loved the special private onsen, an experience we couldn't find anywhere else. The food was incredible, and we'd strongly recommend the optional dinner course. Our waitress that evening was so kind and friendly and made the meal feel even more special. Easily the best experience of our whole trip.

The private Onsen bath, with its wonderful view of the forest behind the property, was the highlight of our stay. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and had lots of amenities. It was one of the most memorable stops on our three-week trip through multiple cities. The place is tucked away, but only about a 3-4 minute walk from the bus stop. The staff were very attentive from arrival: they showed us around the room, explained what to expect, and made dinner reservations since we'd opted out of the meal service. They went out of their way to help however they could. We highly recommend staying here and will definitely be back.

There are just a few rooms, each with its own private Onsen, in a beautiful setting surrounded by nature. It was very quiet, and there's a shared Onsen as well. No kids are admitted.
