Oyado Nozawa

The tourism association recommended this place, and I used it to pick up a packed lunch before going to Kamikochi. The bento was good in both taste and portion size. It's unusual for this area to have a place with lodging and meals offered separately. I'd definitely like to stay here next time.

My wife and I were able to enjoy the private open-air bath, and I thought the price was quite reasonable considering it included both breakfast and dinner. We weren't sure where to park, so some lines or other markings for the spaces would make that clearer. I was also a little annoyed at checkout. The staff kept chatting with someone who had already checked out, perhaps a regular, while we were waiting to check out ourselves. That's why I'm giving the service three stars.

I was here for a fishing trip and booked breakfast only. I've stayed at a lot of inns in this area, but the bathroom lighting and plumbing fixtures here were surprisingly new. The inside felt bright and pleasant, which I hadn't expected from the entrance. The landlady's cheerful personality may have helped create that atmosphere. Breakfast was delicious. The Hoba Miso had its own distinctive flavor, and the fresh eggs made a great egg-on-rice meal. I was very satisfied. The private open-air bath, which the owner carved out himself, was also excellent. I'll definitely return for a stay with all meals included.

The hoba miso at breakfast was homemade and the best thing I’ve ever tasted. Hot rice with a fresh egg was excellent too, and I enjoyed the hot springs three times. The landlady and staff were so kind. It was a wonderful inn, and I’m very grateful for the stay.
