Hotel Sendai Park 2

I paid just 3,550 JPY for one night on New Year's Eve, which felt incredible. It was perfect, and I’m grateful to the manager.

The front desk staff were helpful, and the location was great. But the room was in such poor shape that the price didn't feel justified. It was old, the bed was hard, the bathroom tiny and covered in mold. The door also slammed with a loud roar whenever someone in the next room came or went. I considered switching hotels after checking in, but everywhere else was full, so I had to stay one night and barely slept. Next time I'll choose somewhere else, even if it costs twice as much.

The room itself was spacious and comfortable, though the bathroom was so cramped that I kept bumping into the walls even when I moved carefully. There's no bidet, which is a shame, and they do give you a bottle of water each night. The facilities are old and show it. Still, you can see they're trying to keep prices low, and I think it takes some flexibility to accept what comes with that. The front desk staff were generally friendly and polite. It has an old-fashioned feel, for better or worse.

It's dated, but the air conditioning still works well, and the noise insulation is decent. The staff are friendly and helpful, and they can store your luggage. If you want to keep costs down and stay near the station, it's a solid option.
