KOKO HOTEL Sendai Station South

The bed was comfortable, and the water pressure was excellent. It’s quiet and clean, although the interior feels a little old. The breakfast buffet is really good for the price, especially with an advance ticket 🎟. JR Sendai Station’s west exit is about an eight-minute walk away.

We picked this KOKO hotel for its easy access and high C/P ratio, even though there are at least two others in the city. From Sendai Station’s Central/West Exit, head toward the south-west corner to PARCO2, go downstairs, turn right at the first street, and walk about 50 meters to reach it. The reception area is fairly spacious for a 3-star hotel. There were two or three staff on duty when we passed through; they were helpful, though not as smiley as I’d expect at a typical Japanese hotel. Our room on the 5/F faced the street, but all four nights were surprisingly quiet. The shower had impressive pressure and temperature, and the hygienic amenities by the two lifts were handy. We had a relaxing, pleasant stay.

The view was cool, and the place was convenient, reliable, and clean. We booked a double bed, which felt a bit cramped for a couple with luggage. The complimentary yukata was a little rough.

The staff were friendly, and the location makes it easy to get to both Sendai Station and Aobadori Station. Cleanliness was poor, with dust everywhere, and the urine smell remained even after cleaning. To get rid of it, you have to pour hot water onto the restroom floor.
