Of Hotel

Breakfast was small but good. The twin room was an okay size, though the bed itself felt very small. Ventilation seemed lacking: by morning the room was stuffy, with condensation pooled under the window, and there was some mold on the curtain.

The design is cool, to be honest, and the breakfasts feel modern. But I wouldn't call them convenient, and the rooms are just too cramped for a couple. It wasn't the cheapest option either.

There's a really good coffee shop on the hotel's second floor. The specialty coffee there was among the best we've had in Japan so far. The location is great, very close to the JR Station, and the hotel itself feels modern and clean. The staff were amazing too. Special thanks to the reception team for taking time to help us fill out the luggage waybill. I'd definitely recommend OF Hotel for a few nights in Sendai.

The service was great, and I could speak with the front desk in English easily. I also did my best to use Japanese despite the language barrier. They provided useful amenities, including toothbrushes, toothpaste, slippers, and PJs. Breakfast is served for an extra charge in the second-floor lounge, and there's a microwave there for heating food. No kettle in the room, but a hot and cold water dispenser is just outside. We were two Canadians who don't speak Japanese, staying four nights in February. The location is very convenient for Sendai Station and the rest of the city, and the hotel was clean, with an interesting aesthetic. It seems to be going for a hip, modern, unfinished look, which felt a bit strange to me. The room was very small and got stuffy quickly. There wasn't much air circulation beyond the air conditioner, and even with the air purifier, it felt stuffy by the second day. Sleeping became uncomfortable and difficult. The bathroom was fine but basic, with only a toilet and shower and no shelves or racks despite room for them. It's clean, with a nice Refa hair dryer and good shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. I think it's fine for a night or two, but I'd find the small room and stuffy air hard to deal with beyond that.
