Hotel Venus Ritz - Adults Only

I’ve used the service several times, and the older woman who answers the phone has always been rude. A coupon didn’t get applied, and when I called about it, she got angry. The owner replied to my review, so I used the service again today. The phone service was a little better, but something was still off: I used a 30% coupon, yet the price shown when I left the room reflected only 20% off. Why? Either the coupon wasn’t applied, or the 30% discount was reduced to 20%. It’s unbelievable. I’d like to speak with them in person.

The room was generally clean, so I had no complaints on that front. I’d read the reviews and worried about cleanliness and the staff’s attitude, but I had a frightening experience when I went alone. I called to ask what to do with a printed 30% discount coupon, and they said they’d come collect it. A second after I hung up, someone knocked loudly. I froze, and before I could open the door, they opened it themselves. I was so scared I silently handed over the coupon. They checked the date and left without a word. Since each room is meant to be private, I think they should have waited for me to open the door and told me whether the coupon could be used. The hotel is very close to the station, which I appreciated because it meant less walking around at night. If it’s full, you have to wait in a waiting room, and the ringtone there is extremely loud, so keep that in mind if you dislike loud sounds. I also found it convenient that you can pay in your room. If I use the service again, I think I’ll avoid going alone as a woman.

The young male staff member was hard to understand because he spoke so quietly, and he seemed not to know what he was saying. When there were problems with the machine, he blamed the customers. Then the doorbell suddenly rang and the door opened, as if he were venting his frustration. Maybe he meant to threaten to open it even though there was no reason to. It was terrifying. They should hire someone decent.

I’ve put up with the weekday daytime phone staff being unfriendly for a while, but yesterday, when I went for Valentine’s Day, I had to say something. Maybe there was an event, but their attitude was worse than ever. They slammed the door when bringing the drinks, and I was shocked. When they brought the second dish, they did it again as if that were normal. I was braced for it, but it still startled me. I don’t think someone behaving so hysterically should be working there. I come here to relax, so now I feel like I have to be extra careful.
