The traditional breakfast was generous and delicious, and a great start to the day. Our room was spacious, with tatami flooring and a lovely view. The large round table and floor chairs became a favorite spot for cards and relaxing together. The two futons were already set up when we arrived, which was much appreciated after traveling from Kyoto. I stayed here with three friends, and we had a lovely welcome. A receptionist was waiting outside when our bus arrived, then helped us check in right away. The room was beautifully prepared and ready for us. Everything felt warm and authentic, and I'd absolutely recommend it. I can't wait to come back next time I'm in town.

The room was huge by Japan standards, and the view was great. The onsen were amazing, too. O was a lot better than I expected.

The room was spacious, with both a shower and a proper bath, though the onsen is the best place to bathe if you want a more local experience. There are separate baths for women and men, and they switch them around so you can try both. It's a very good traditional ryokan. The downsides were the thin walls, which let us hear people outside even with the windows shut, and a rather ordinary view from the window.

The staff were good, and the view from the cafe area was superb. The indoor onsen, though, was far too small and rusty, especially for a hotel in the middle of an onsen town. Everything else was great.

The room was small and the place felt very run down for what it cost. The onsen was tiny too. I wouldn't recommend this kind of lousy hotel.
