I still feel sad knowing I probably won't see that family again. The inn has closed, and it seems the soba restaurant they ran shut down too. I stayed at the inn before and remember it being affordable, with really delicious food. I wanted to go back.

Right in front of Shijonawate Shrine, Iseya has a real sense of history and presence. I was impressed by the attentive service, and the food made with Osaka ingredients was delicious. ...

The breakfast felt almost like a full course, and it was so delicious. It made the morning feel special. I had dinner somewhere else, though I did wish I could have eaten at the inn too. I was traveling on my own as a woman, and the staff's thoughtful care made the trip lovely. The Japanese-style room was comfortable and relaxing. It had been beautifully renovated, and sharing the bathroom and toilet was no problem for me. The inn sits at the foot of the shrine, in a magnificent spot ⛩, and I was captivated by the historic building. Getting there on public transport did involve a bit of an uphill walk. I'd wholeheartedly recommend staying here in the area!
