Ryori Ryokan Uomoto

I’ve never had better pufferfish. The Anori pufferfish was aged exceptionally well, as you’d expect from a ryokan known for its cooking, and it was reasonably priced for such a premium variety 🐡. They used it throughout the meal, from the appetizers to amber-colored sashimi, tecchiri hot pot, chawanmushi with pufferfish milt, grilled and fried pufferfish, and finally rice porridge full of the flavors of the fish and vegetables. I left completely satisfied, in body and heart 😀. The staff were very friendly and even showed us a freshly molted spiny lobster with a soft shell during the meal 🦐.

The food was generous and really good, and I was very happy with both the amount and quality. There wasn’t a refrigerator in my room, but when I asked, they kindly brought me drinks to have there.

We were the only guests there when we stayed for the Ise-Shima Triathlon. It’s a bit of a distance from the event venue, but the staff were kind and accommodating.

My family and I had a meal here with our grandchildren, and everyone was happy with it. There was so much food we couldn’t finish it, and the grandchildren loved it. We’re already talking about coming back for pufferfish and spiny lobster, and we’ll return for a swim too. Thank you!
