The room was fine, and after a full day out sightseeing, the bath was a welcome comfort. Ebiya is a fair way from the port and other transport on Shin-kamigoto island, but Aya-san made getting around much easier. She arranged an Island taxi tour and even drove us to a few nearby spots. We had a lovely, heartfelt connection despite her limited English and my very limited Japanese. The food was the real highlight: dinner and breakfast were fresh from the sea and in season, and the Uni-don (Sea urchin bowl) is a must. I'd suggest booking half-board. It's worth every cent. You can also hire a taxi nearby to visit the crystal-clear beach at Shirahama and swim there.

Nothing fancy about the inn or its amenities, but the dinner they serve is superb.

My husband, son, and two grandchildren stayed here from November 22nd to 23rd, and we were happy with everything. We chose the simple plan since fishing was our main activity, but the amount of food was still so generous that we couldn't finish it. My grandchildren were especially taken with the meals, and even went back for more miso soup. Breakfast felt like a feast too, and all the kids agreed the marinated sardines were fantastic. One of the middle schoolers also said the shampoo and conditioner left her hair smoother than it had ever felt. Her mum usually buys expensive shampoo, so she was probably surprised. I asked about the products, and they kindly looked them up for me. I ordered some and gave them to my grandchildren.

The room looked recently rebuilt, and the inn was really clean and comfortable. We ended up staying for a night because the connecting boat times didn't work for us after taking the boat from Sasebo to Arikawa on the way to Naru Island. We took our time eating, and the boxfish was delicious. The food was served on cute plates too, which I think women would especially enjoy. I'd like to come back with friends or family if I get the chance. Thank you very much (*^^*)

The sashimi was delicious, and they let it rest before serving, which made it even better. There was so much food that I couldn't finish, so they saved the sukiyaki and lobster head bowls for the next morning. I'd love to come back to this inn for the food.
