A lovely, quiet traditional home. The futons were so comfortable!

The traditional rooms were wonderful, really clean, and the beds were super comfortable. I enjoyed our stay a lot.

We were three, a parent and two children, and got to stay on New Year’s Day for a little over 20,000 yen. The place was clean, with a separate bath and toilet. The bedroom and living room were each about eight tatami mats in size. There were pots, cups, and the usual amenities. They’d prepared two beds, maybe doubles, plus a mattress, which was great. There’s a bus stop nearby and a vending machine close by too. I was a little disappointed to see part of the living room shoji torn, though maybe they’ve been busy.

We found it easy to choose places to eat within walking distance because the website listed nearby restaurants. The inn is also close to Adventure World and Shirahama beach. Our room was spacious, with two bedrooms and a raised tatami area that seems especially thoughtful for families with young children. Two families could stay without worrying about space. There’s a drum-style washing machine for cleaning up after a beach day, and a hot plate too. We picked up ingredients at nearby Toretore Market and had a relaxed meal in the room. It seems there are rooms on the third floor as well, though we stayed on the second. It’s so well equipped that I’d definitely come back.
