The owner was so kind and friendly, even helping when my car got stuck in the snow and seeing me off when I left. That made the stay really pleasant. I was there for three days. The room felt like a country house, with a nostalgic smell. In snowy season, be careful, since you’re off the main road.

The 3,500 yen room-only price is hard to turn down, and the room is spacious. There’s a bath, towels, and toothbrushes, and it’s nice that guests can use the kitchen, tea, ice, and refrigerator freely. But there’s no air conditioning, and the fan doesn’t help in the middle of summer. I wouldn’t stay then, as it could lead to heatstroke. Booking.com reservations are a hassle, though the low price is appealing.

The breaker kept tripping, the room smelled moldy, the bathroom was shabby, and there were bugs everywhere. I stayed there last year, and it was awful. I’ll never stay again.

There’s a supermarket nearby, and guests can use the kitchen freely, which was handy for cooking. The rooms are spacious, and we appreciated the TV, air conditioner, and air purifier. The roads to the place are narrow and a little hard to find. The owner was very kind. He warmed up the room before we checked in with friends, then gave us an umbrella when we checked out, anticipating the weather. He wished us a safe trip and waved goodbye.
