There wasn’t much explanation at this inn, and I don’t think I’ll return. The hot spring water is 80 degrees, so getting the temperature right may be difficult. The enclosed outdoor bath has no view, and hearing nearby children having fun really put me off. The sulfur smell that fills the room is something you get used to quickly. We found millipedes and centipedes inside, probably because of the bushes next door, and got rid of them. Also, press the entrance keypad slowly or it’ll give an error.

I was glad to see the care put into practical details like garbage disposal, and the hot water is excellent. Since guests can cook for themselves, though, the outlet locations and how many there are could use some thought.
The spring water was the highlight for me. It comes straight from a natural source at about 80°C, so we either cooled it with cold water to get in right away or let it sit for 2-3 hours for a more comfortable soak. It felt amazing. The property was spotless, and even the glasses and dishes showed care. When we opened the door, the place had a special atmosphere, and the facilities and amenities were in great shape. The staff member looking after us was attentive, kept us updated, and answered every question quickly. It was our first visit, and the three of us, my wife, daughter, and I, had an easy time finding it, within about 10 minutes of Shirahama Beach and Toretore Market. We'd happily stay again on a future trip to Shirahama. Thanks for everything!
Cooking for ourselves worked out well. We picked up fresh fish at Toretore Market and local roadside stations and ate it as sashimi, which made for a cost-effective way to enjoy good local food. The kitchenware and table settings were provided, though you'll need to bring seasonings. The villa itself felt luxurious, with high-grade facilities and stylish Balmuda cooking utensils that lifted our spirits. Since it was a private rental, our family with small children could relax without worrying about bothering anyone. It's a good fit for families or couples, and we'd book it again when we're in Shirahama.
That bath was something else. I'd only tried hotel hot springs before, and finding out this one comes straight from the source amazed me. I got in, leaned my head back on the tub, and looked up at a beautiful moon. The feeling was hard to describe, and I finally understood the name "Time and Space" (or "Space-Time")! The kids had a great time too. We stayed one night recently in the spacious two-story place, and its design honestly made me feel like I was in a model home. I'd definitely come back if I get the chance.
