Hotel Citio Shizuoka

The shower was small but had good hot water pressure, and the room size was decent for Japan. The bed was a little firm, and my window looked onto other rooms’ air shafts. The location was okay, between shin shinzuoka bus terminal and shiozuoka station for shinkanzen and trains. The entrance was confusing, and the escalator wasn’t working that day. Check-in staff could use Google Translate, which helped, and they held my bag until check-in. I was assigned to the “women floor” despite traveling alone as a man, perhaps because of a translation mix-up. At night only one entrance was open, and the keycard didn’t seem to work at the other one. Amenities were available in the lobby. It got noisy in the morning when cleaning staff knocked on nearly every door and cleaned the corridor. The room had AC and a humidifier.
