The facilities are suitable for golfers, but the front desk staff don’t seem to be trained consistently. This evening I went to the relaxation area for coffee and tried to pour some into my travel bottle to keep warm and take back to my room. A young man at reception stopped me. When I asked what I should do, he poured the coffee into the waste bin. Such a waste of good coffee, and a bad look for a good hotel.
The location is really convenient, and the staff are helpful and nice. They can provide maps and bus schedules at the counter, along with toiletries and skincare items. There are lots of restaurants nearby, and Aeon, the supermarket and department store, isn’t far away. You can get a nice view of Mt. Fuji from the hotel rooftop, too. Buffet breakfast is included!
The public baths were a great way to unwind after a long day of work or sightseeing. There are two large tubs, about 3m x 4m each, one indoors and one outside. I also liked the Happy Hour: one beer or other alcoholic drink from 18:30-20:00, or soft drinks such as Jinger Ale, juice, and sparkling water until 21:00. The breakfast buffet has plenty to choose from, including vegetables and salad, sausages, eggs, fish, Shumai, Natto, rice, curry, and Miso Soup. The rooms are a little bigger than nearby business hotels, with a wide bed and bathtub even in the single rooms. Most of the staff were kind and polite, though there was one tall, skinny young man who seemed to hate his job. A good place to stay for business or a personal trip in the Fujinomiya area.
The hotel is in a handy spot next to the JR station and bus stop, with Aeon Mall nearby. There’s an onsen, laundry, breakfast, and evening beer and other alcoholic drinks. Breakfast has lots of choices, including spaghetti and Japanese food. They changed the bathrobe and towel every day, and there are things like adapters and chargers available to borrow. I hope I can come back and relax here soon.
The reception staff were on the rude side, and the pillows were so flat. They had no extra pillows to give me, which seems ridiculous for a hotel. They handed me a spare blanket and told me to make do with it and the thin pillows. The breakfast was good, though, and served by several older people who seemed genuinely happy to be doing the work.
