We had a peaceful stay, and were lucky to get a room facing Fuji san. The garden was lovely, with plenty of room for kids to play all day. In the quiet, we watched the sunset and coastal night view with a cup of warm Shizuoka tea. There's also a chapel where couples can marry with Fuji san in the background. Life can feel short, but in a peaceful place like this, a day seems to stretch out.

Hey ya'll! The restaurant has a beautiful view of Mount Fuji, and the Japanese food was delicious and authentic. Such a nice, elegant place.

The room type was great, and there's a nice bar lounge upstairs. The staff were attentive throughout, especially Mr. Hiroomi, Manager and Mr Furumaki, server. They both gave very good, attentive service.

The rooms have a perfect view of Fujiyama, which is enough to make Nippondaira Hotel the best modern hotel in Shizouka city for me, hands down. Breakfast was the one letdown: limited choices and often crowded. Keep in mind the hotel sits on a hilltop, reached by a winding road that can be quite dark at night.

The view of mt Fuji is the best I've seen, and this hotel is easily in my top three worldwide. The garden is well maintained and lovely to stroll through. They run a pickup and drop-off bus from the station, about 30 minutes away. The staff were kind and took good care of us. 10 out of 10.
