The staff at this Toyoko Inn were wonderful. I had souvenirs delivered from Amazon, and they accepted the packages without any trouble. They were waiting for me at reception when I arrived, and a young male employee had even set up a little cart so I could easily move them to my room. Excellent service, and I'd love to stay here again.

Everything was great. The breakfast buffet could maybe be refilled a bit more promptly. Anyway, thank you~~

For what I paid, the room was awesome. It was clean and lovely, with a comfortable bed and everything I needed. Basic amenities are available in the lobby too. And the breakfast was a nice extra: I stayed two nights, and the menu changed each day.
6/10
Breakfast was enjoyable, just like at the other Toyoko Inns I know, and the room itself was fine apart from an old smoke smell. The hospitality was the letdown. At check-in I was told I'd been put in a smoking room, which isn't great as a non-smoker. Then they wouldn't let me use one of the available hotel parking spaces because I hadn't called ahead. Other Toyoko Inn locations have at least reimbursed my paid parking, but this one didn't.
4/10
Breakfast was a disappointment compared with another Toyoko Inn where I stayed in Aomori. At check-in, I spoke English, but the receptionist in the pink uniform and glasses spoke only Japanese. She kept going through the standard process as if by rote, without seeming to care whether I understood or how I felt. I was left feeling pretty low.
