It’s a very quiet spot, though a little far from the other village, so you’ll need a car or bike. The rooms are clean, and the bathroom and toilet are new. A nice ryoukan near the sea, with a primate beach.

At first, the evening lights and water view had me excited about how cute the place looked. Then the room we’d booked put me in a bad mood. The communal bath was downstairs, a three-minute walk outside, which wasn’t much fun with mosquitoes. The toilet was only a few steps away, but there were mosquitoes there too, and I had to get fully dressed just to use it. Spend extra for a room with its own bath if you stay here.

We stayed over Marine Day and it was way more than I expected! The hotel room looked out over the sea, just 10 meters away, and the included BBQ dinner was super delicious. The host is a really nice guy, and the staff were super nice too. I’m so glad we chose to stay here, and can’t wait to come back!

The beach and mountain views are wonderful, and the included BBQ dinner was thoughtfully put together. A beautiful resort on Shodo island.

Such a beautiful spot, and the nicest host we met! They took care of our family while we were travelling by bike.
