The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and it stayed quiet at night. Still, the hotel seems past its best days. Everything looks old and could use new carpet, wallpaper, and paint. I wouldn't pick it for a romantic trip, but if you just need somewhere to sleep, it's okay.

We came back after four years because we remembered the restaurant, which had an izakaya feel, and the ofuro. This time both were out of order. Please take down the photos if those things aren't available. The room was a disappointment too, with dirt on the walls and dust everywhere. 😱😱😱

I got a welcome break from the rain here during my Shikoku pilgrimage stopover. The price was reasonable, and the room looked surprisingly modern and clean for such an old hotel. I think it had been updated within the last year or so. If I'm remembering right, the attached restaurant was pretty tasty too.

The inside feels much newer than the outside. It's an older-style business hotel, but clean and comfortable, and both the Japanese dinner and breakfast included with the stay were very good. March 2024.

The rooms and bedding were spotless. We went out for dinner, and breakfast was fine. The big communal baths were closed because of COVID, which was a shame, but the bath in our room did the job. Thanks!
