The staff really made this place for me. They were warm, funny, creative, and so welcoming that they even took us around the neighborhood at midnight, where we got to try some great local Japanese sake. The renovated old Japanese house has loads of character, with tatami mats and futon beds, and the sea is just a two-minute walk away for swimming or a BBQ. There’s also a local bath nearby. And the automatic mahjong table was the best surprise, hah! Definitely my favorite guesthouse in Japan.

The host was incredibly friendly, and even took the time to teach me mahjong. I had a really nice stay and would happily come back if I get the chance.

The entrance was dirty, and the bathroom smelled bad and couldn't be used. At a price of over 10,000 yen, I think they should clean the place up.
