For the price, this place feels like a steal, and the stay was amazing. Sleeping on a futon in the traditional-style room felt unique and much cozier and more comfortable to me than the western hotels I’m used to. Just be aware that the property is beside a road, so you’ll hear passing cars. The closest convenience store, family Mart, is about a five-minute drive away.

We’d be happy to come back. The host was super lovely and welcomed us warmly, and check-in was easy. This beautiful guest house has the essentials for self-catering, perfect heating, comfortable futon beds, and even a nice outdoor bath. Free parking is available on site. We highly recommend it.

The place was affordable, clean, and pleasant, with free parking. I slept on a futon, and the staff were kind, communicative, and let me check in early. Amanoyasukawara is only a five-minute walk away, and Takachiho Gorge is a quick 20-30 minute drive. There weren’t really any food places open nearby, so make sure to pick up something to eat on the way in during the evening.

This is a very affordable guesthouse with spacious rooms on the main road. Parking spots are along the roadside, not far from the entrance. If staff aren’t around, call them using the phone. Check-in was smooth and they explained the basics. The room was big and had futon beds, though I wouldn’t choose it for a stay of several days. There’s a shared bathroom and toilet, plus a kitchen area and laundry corner. The kitchen is limited to a microwave, fridge, kettle, and bins. Checking out was easy, just drop the key and leave.
