The couple running the place are kind and attentive, and the rooms are clean, comfortable, and spacious. It's conveniently near the bus terminal. My one suggestion is about checkout: 9:00 AM feels very early and is inconvenient. Maybe they could adjust it in the future.

My tatami bedroom was simple, and the whole place was very clean. It's a small, uncomplicated guest house with a hostel feel, and I got a friendly welcome from the English-speaking host. Tea and coffee are available in the lobby, with shared toilets and showers and a coin laundry down the hall. There’s a map marked with where past guests came from, plus a big wall sheet where you can leave a note before heading out. Bring a small souvenir or a piece of newspaper from home to add to it. Checkout was at 9:00 am.

The rooms are large, with tatami floors and futons. You can smell the tatami, though opening the window helped, and I got used to it. Showers are shared, with separate sides for men and women. The owner is very kind and easy to chat with, and it’s fantastic value. Reservation details, check-in, house rules, and free maps are available in both Japanese and English.

The shared bathrooms are on both floors. Check-in and checkout windows are a little tight, but it wasn't a problem for me.

A friendly couple run this place, and it's clean and well kept. The check-in and access times are strict.
