Takasaki Washington Hotel Plaza

There's plenty of food and shopping nearby, with lots of convenience stores like FamilyMart and Lawson. The hotel is in the city center and not far from Takasaki Station. It was relaxing, clean, and well kept. Daily amenities such as a toothbrush and toothpaste, small comb, cleansing oil, face wash, toner, serum, and face cream are available by the front desk. The room's bathroom and toilet are together, and it has hand wash, shampoo, and soap. They clean daily and regularly provide homeware. There are also a washing machine and vending machine on the fifth floor.

For about 7,000 yen, I stayed here one night while vacationing in Takasaki. The room was a little larger than a typical Japanese business hotel, though only slightly, and the bed was reasonably comfortable. It was clean, the staff were courteous, and the location was ideal, just five minutes from the station and easy to reach from the raised walkway. I'd gladly stay again if I'm in the area.

The location is very good, just a walk from Takasaki JR station. There is only a heater and no air conditioning, and the dryer in the laundry machine isn't very effective. Upgrading the central heating to provide air conditioning too would make the place perfect.

The station is right next door, which is a great location. I went to Gas Light on the 12th floor for a girls' night plan. The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere and a great view of Takasaki. I expected a bit more from the course menu and was somewhat disappointed: it included two hours of all-you-can-drink, a few dishes to share, two salads, cheese fondue, a small steak, then a fruit plate and chocolate fondue for dessert.
