The scenery around here is amazing. I really recommend heading down to the lakeside at night.

The homemade coffee was delicious, and breakfast was a stylish plated meal with lots of homemade ingredients. This pension is paired with a cute, stylish cafe on Lake Biwa's shores. Rooms are usually shared, but during my visit there was space, so I got to have a five-person room all to myself. It was also conveniently close to Shirahige Shrine.

The service felt homey, and the food was above average. The location was good and both the inside and outside looked stylish. Since the building is like a private house, sound carries and the soundproofing isn't great. There were dozens of guests, and some had poor manners.

The lakeside view right outside this guesthouse is wonderful.
