Kutsuroginoya Yuu

We had a room with a private onsen, and it was beautiful, clean, and cozy. The staff were incredibly kind and went out of their way to make the stay wonderful. I only wish we could have stayed longer. We chose the plan with both breakfast and dinner included, and the fresh traditional Japanese meals were cooked perfectly, with what felt like Michelin-star quality. If you’re picky or not open to trying new foods, though, this might not suit you. I’ll be dreaming about this ryokan for a long time. 10/10.

On our way back to Osaka, our car was stranded on the highway because we didn’t have winter tires. Our rental company wasn’t responding, so Koji-san drove all the way out to rescue us. That kind of generosity was far beyond what we could have expected, and we’ll always be grateful. From the moment we arrived at Kutsuroginoya Yuu, Koji-san greeted us warmly, showed us around the hotel and our rooms, and made sure we had everything we needed. Every interaction was kind and thoughtful. The dining was wonderful, with carefully prepared and presented dishes, especially the absolutely delicious Hida beef. His care made our stay unforgettable. For warm, attentive hospitality and excellent service, this is a place I’d recommend. Thank you, Koji-san, for everything!

After checkout, the staff noticed the rings my girlfriend had accidentally left in the toilet and hurried over while we were waiting for the bus. They saved us from a disaster. The staff were extremely polite and kind throughout our night in the double floor room with onsen, and the food was simply amazing. We have nothing but sincere praise for this humble onsen hotel.

Meals are served in your own designated room, and they bring traditional clothes you can wear there. We only stayed one night, but it was definitely worth it, and I’d recommend trying a ryokan in Japan. There was a private little onsen in our room, plus a public one and another private bath that anyone could book for an hour. The service was great and the staff were friendly. Everyone seemed like one big family, which made the place feel warm and welcoming. Don’t worry if you’re not familiar with Japanese culture or how to eat the food, the staff will guide you.
