A small, cozy hotel in a really quiet town. I got some nice photos outside at dawn. They have a covered garage with shutters where we could leave our bicycles securely overnight. Breakfast was a generous buffet with plenty of choices. Before day two of the ride, I had two raw eggs mixed into hot steamed rice.

There's a convenience store within walking distance, restaurants nearby, and a gas station right across from the hotel. It's a great stop on a motorcycle trip, with a shuttered parking space. I'd definitely recommend it and plan to come back.

I stayed in room 509, and the facilities were enough for a three-star hotel. The location made getting around convenient, and the staff were friendly and helpful. There's a convenience store not far away, too. I visited in January during Hokkaido's extreme winter, which made for an unforgettable trip. I'd love to come back to Takikawa someday.

The garden visible from the restaurant was beautiful, and breakfast was very good. Our Room 701 was one of the larger ones and had a good amount of space. The bathroom felt like one from a business hotel. The furniture was dated but in good shape, and the room was clean. I did get too hot, though, since the windows wouldn't open and the temperature was centrally controlled.

For a night, it's perfectly fine, though this bubble-era "wedding hotel" isn't anything special. It felt a bit less polished than the Suehiro, but the price was a little lower. In July 2017, I paid about 6700 for the night without meals.
