Uno Port INN

Minh, Long, Momo, and the rest of the team made us feel welcome and took great care of us. The inn is ideally placed for the passenger boats and ferries to the art islands, any closer and you'd be in the ticket office. The whole place has a relaxed feel, with retro jazz playing in the cafe. Breakfast is included: a small serving of fresh fruit, yoghurt, and granola, or a bread basket, followed by a roll or beigel with your choice of egg, bacon, sausage, or fish sausage combo. The roll comes wrapped, which is handy when you’re rushing to catch a ferry. We got excellent dinner recommendations for both nights. Rooms are compact, very clean, named after film directors, and have a private bathroom close by.

Long deserves a promotion. The inn is handy for visiting the islands, and breakfast is included, but Long was the real star. He was incredibly helpful and even came up with ideas for organizing our days efficiently. Highly recommended 🫶

Getting ready for our day trip to Teshima was easy because the staff gave us such helpful, detailed advice. Breakfast was satisfying too, especially the delicious bagels. Our room, “Miyazaki,” had a cozy, charming feel and lots of personality, and you can tell real care went into the place. Everyone made us feel welcome and comfortable, and the hospitality was exceptional. UNO Port Inn gave us a special, warm experience at a reasonable price. If you’re choosing between it and the nearby “Uno Hotel,” I’d pick UNO Port Inn. To me, the other place feels like a soulless imitation that took the original idea and is unfairly taking customers. Highly recommend!

I like this place a lot. The homemade breakfast and ferry terminal right across the way make it easy to get to Naoshima art Island, and there are laundry facilities too. The room is Japanese style, with futons on the floor. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. One quirky thing is that the private bathroom is down the hall, and you need a key for it. How perfect is that?
