The house was spotless and had all the facilities I needed. We communicated by speaking into Google Translate, which was funny. Food, drinks, and laundry were available for very low prices. It felt more like a guesthouse than a hotel, with just two rooms in the house. I had a lovely stay and would give it six stars if I could. They gave me a ride to the train station, though you can walk there too. Don’t hesitate, go there!

Amazing place to stay!

I came for the Nishiwaki fireworks, and the inn was beautifully renovated and comfortable. There were only two rooms, so I got to know the other guest in the kitchen, and we had a great time. The fridge had a good range of drinks at reasonable prices, and I ended up having quite a few. For breakfast I made fried eggs with the free bread and eggs that cost 50 yen each. The bath towels were fluffy, and I’d love to know the brand. The Nishiwaki fireworks I watched from the Kakogawa Line were amazing too. I’d like to stay here again next year.

August 23, 2025. I parked at the accommodation, then walked about 12-15 minutes to Kugemura Station on the JR Kakogawa Line, which was just right for getting to the Nishiwaki Summer Festival fireworks. The festival is known as the “Navel of Japan.” They only take two groups a day, and another group was staying there that night. We got chatting in the shared kitchen, and they said they’d just traveled all the way from Ibaraki Prefecture to the southernmost tip of Kagoshima Prefecture. Amazing, it impressed me that people like that are out there. I found myself wondering where they went the next day (laughs). The place was very clean and I had a pleasant stay. I’d come back if I get the chance. Thank you.

Thanks so much for everything, and I hope I’ll see you again sometime. 🙇 I was a little disappointed that check-in was unmanned, since I’d caused you some worry when I visited three and a half years ago. 😊
