A handy place to stop before setting out on the Komono Kodo trail, with the main train and bus stations a five-minute walk away. It feels clean, modern, and fairly new, and was good value. Breakfast was good, and the 24-hour facilities were useful: luggage racks and lockers, vending machine, coffee and tea machine, and laundry. There are several cafes and places to eat close by. Check-in is at 3 pm and checkout at 10 am, and they stick to those times. Even a 30-minute extension costs extra.

It's in an excellent spot, just a five-minute walk from the train station. The rooms are modern and well equipped, with a larger bathroom and shower, and everything was sparkling clean, including the dining room/library and reception. Staff were very attentive, and breakfast had a very nice selection.

The staff were excellent and helped with our hiking questions. Across the street, matsushimaen serves delicious yakiniku. The hotel looks new and clean, and it's a fantastic location, just a five-minute walk from Kii-Tanabe station for the bus to Takijiri. That was especially nice on cold mornings. The rooms were a bit small, though I guess that's normal in Japan.

The hotel feels new, and the reception and service were excellent. It's away from the busier part of town, but still only a five-minute walk from the bus and railway station, so the location is good.
