I really enjoyed staying here. It was quiet at night, so I got a good rest, and the place was clean and beautiful, with trees all around. There were plenty of useful facilities, including toilets, baths, and vending machines. Having an onsen at a camp spot is incredible. I only wish I’d arrived earlier so I could enjoy it.
The staff were friendly and able to communicate in English. They had cup noodles and snacks, plus a vending machine. It’s a really nice campground with a free onsen. Just keep in mind that there are no restaurants or convenience stores nearby, which matters if you’re walking the Kumano Kodo.
The river runs beside the campsite, and I enjoyed taking a dip there on my summer visit. There’s also a bath and a charging station in the camp area, along with cup noodles, snacks, and vending machines. I had a really nice stay and thought it was well worth camping here. It’s a good option for Kumano Kodo hikers, but bring your own tent since they don’t rent them. I’d like to come back in spring or autumn.
A good camping spot for the Kumano Kodo pilgrimage. Just be aware this is a caravan park, so the rate for one person is 2300jpy. It has all the amenities and facilities you could ask for.
The camp is in peaceful natural surroundings, and it was really quiet. It’s about 10 minutes from the Kumano trail. The approach can make it feel like you’re heading nowhere, but don’t worry. Our cabin was comfortable, with good futons and its own toilet. The shared bathroom has an onsen, which was great after the trail. We loved it!
