The staff were so welcoming, and they adjusted both breakfast and dinner for my vegetarian diet. Our room had a traditional Japanese setup with tatami and futons. We spent two nights here while exploring the Teteyama Kurobe Alpine Route, and I’d absolutely recommend it.

The water felt unusual in a good way. As soon as I got into the hot spring, my skin felt soft and smooth all over. I’m guessing the water is piped in from the mountain nearby, though I don’t know what’s in it.

The place was so quiet and peaceful, and I got to enjoy the onsen completely by myself. Our room was clean and really nice too. I had a lovely one-night stay. Subarashii

My room was clean, though it got pretty cold. The door wouldn’t shut all the way, so footsteps and conversations outside came through. Thankfully, the Japanese guests were polite, stayed quiet in the hallway, and turned in early.
