There’s a Lawson right next to the hotel, which helps since there aren’t many restaurants nearby. The hotel has a free onsen and sauna. My room was smoke-free, but if you’re sensitive to cigarette smells, ask for a non-smoking room when you book.

Clean room and free coffee, with a decent place to stay for the price.

The room was in good shape and the staff were really friendly. I was here for a pilgrimage to Ise Shrine on the Saturday before a three-day weekend, yet the hotel stayed quiet. Having a Lawson right on the property was handy. Breakfast costs 1,000 yen and needs to be reserved.

The staff were warm and helpful, and the twin room had enough space to unpack for a one-night stay. It’s clearly an older place, but the furnishings are nice, it felt clean, and there’s a cute retro look to it. I did notice cigarette smoke coming from somewhere despite being in a non-smoking room, so that’s a point off. There was some usual built-up bathroom grime, though I suppose that’s hard to avoid.
