Finding the apartment can be a little tricky. Searching for 846 Apartment on Maps may send you to someone else's property. Go down the alley instead, and the apartment is just behind it.

The place looks good in photos, but felt superficial and short on spirit. It wasn't all bad, just missing something. Check-in starts at 18:00, and the bed quality was poor.

There's a supermarket nearby where you can pick up meat and salmon for shabu-shabu or Korean BBQ. Nippori station is walkable, though it takes a little while to get there. The accommodation is minimalist and home-like, with a kitchen and laundry facilities, and has what you need. You can leave luggage at 13:00, then check in from 15:00. You'll need to contact the owner to get the keys. One heads-up about directions: Google Maps points to the wrong place. Use the GPS coordinates and make your way from there. After crossing the tracks, if the map says turn right, go left into the first alley. Walk about 50 meters, then turn right into the next alley to find the place.

I came across this room while searching for somewhere for a friend. The owner sent me detailed photos, and the stylish look really impressed me. It has appeared in music videos and commercials, so I suggested it to my friend, who was very happy with it. I'd love to stay there myself one day when I get a chance to visit Tokyo after the pandemic settles down!
