I’ve also stayed at APA in Osaka Namba, where the location and facilities were incredible. This one was just okay and felt quite overpriced, even for Tokyo. Like other APA hotels, though, it was very clean and convenient.

The location was perfect for us, with Ginza’s malls and a couple of subway stations within walking distance. We knew small rooms were typical for hotels in Japan, so that wasn’t a surprise. The breakfast wasn’t what we expected: it was just four kinds of soup. We tried it once during our five-night stay and didn’t go back.

I travel a lot for work and don’t like cookie-cutter multinational chains, but this APA Hotel in Shimbashi is a great property. The room was a typical Japanese size, which suited me after a long workday. It was laid out well, with desk space for working, and the bed was comfortable. I’ll definitely be back.

The hotel is very clean, and the bed was comfortable. Its location between Hamamatsucho and Shimbashi stations makes it easy to get around central Tokyo and reach Haneda Airport. I’d stay here again if I needed to be in the area.

The trainee who helped me find a hotel after I landed a day early deserves a thank you. I didn’t get her name, but I really appreciated the help. I stayed here for five days starting May 5. The staff were VERY FRIENDLY and communicated well, the room was clean, and the area was quiet. The hotel sits behind another building, so it was tough to find at first. Shimbashi Station is 5-10 minutes away, there are two convenience stores about 3-4 minutes on foot, and Tokyo Tower is a 15-18 minute walk. Good hotel, and I’d come back.
