Apa Hotel Tokyo Itabashi Ekimae Hotel

We found a used tissue under the bed, so the room clearly hadn’t been cleaned properly. The receptionist was very unfriendly. We couldn’t understand what they were saying and tried to communicate, but Kosuge kept speaking Japanese without seeming to care whether we understood. She smiled, but it didn’t feel sincere. We stayed six days, with one night away at an onsen hotel in between. We’d asked the receptionist to keep our luggage in the lobby for that day, and they agreed at first. After we filled out some forms, they changed their minds and refused to store the bags, without explaining why. It felt very impolite and disrespectful. Please think twice before staying here.

The hotel is right by the train station, which has its upsides and downsides, though it was relatively quiet at night. The rooms are a bit small but have everything you need. The staff were nice, but cleanliness could be better.

There are plenty of places to eat near the station. One room in our group had a flying bug, and in another, housekeeping cleaned the room but forgot to put the soap bottle back. Bottled water was complimentary only on the first day.

After a long day of business travel, coming back to a clean room each night really helped me rest. I stayed five days, and housekeeping cleaned daily and replenished the amenities. They even left fresh towels properly, rather than just hanging them on the door. That's why I gave the hotel a high rating. Please keep up this service and don't raise the price.
