Apartment Hotel Shinjuku

The beds are comfortable, the rooms feel secure, and the air conditioning works. It’s an upgraded old hotel and has been done nicely, though it isn’t perfect. Great location, only a few minutes’ walk from the main Shinjuku stations.

The front desk worker was lovely, and the location is convenient, not far from the station. The alley is nice, though tucked away. The room was as small as expected, with barely any space for bags, and it could use a touch-up for the price we paid. The main issue was the noise: you can hear everything outside, and the rooms aren't soundproof.

We visited in Feb 2026 and felt it was good value. The best part is being right in the heart of Shinjuku. My room worked for one person, though I don't know whether larger rooms are available. It's tiny, but the tea kettle, fridge, hair dryer, utensils, AC, table, and chair all fit in neatly. Just remember the entry password, since the main door is locked after 2200hrs.

The manager was quick to help whenever there was an issue. The entrance can be hard to spot, and a big chair takes up space that might have been better used by a smaller folding one. Also, don't dry clothes outside: the balcony is above a restaurant vent, so they end up smelling like dinner.
