It's about a 10-minute walk to the subway, which felt like a bit of a trek, though that's Japan. The hostel has capsule-style bunks for 10-15 guests, with a shared toilet and bathroom. The beds got too warm at night, and there were no lockers; too many beds also shared the luggage storage space. Staff were out most of the day, but the place was cleaned regularly. I appreciated the provided toiletries, towel, and hair dryer by the sink.
A good place to stay.
After three nights, the service from the two male staff members was superb. They were attentive with everything from making the bed to bringing bath towels, and for a budget hostel, that felt like great value. I'd gladly stay here again when I'm in the Kinshicho area. My check-in at the start was terrible, though. If they can sort out the lack of staff at check-in, it'd be perfect. (^^)b
The room itself looked nicely prepared, which made what I found all the more disappointing. There were short hairs and pubic hairs on the sheets, then I lifted the pillow and found loads of hairs around 5cm long. I have long hair, and it was disgusting. No one was at the front desk, and I couldn't stay there, so after the 10pm check-in time I moved into an empty room. It seems they don't clean every day.
The sleeping space is decent, though the corridors are a little narrow. It's a red and black building about a 10-minute walk from Kinshicho Station.
