Book Hotel Jimbocho

The rooms are small, as is typical in Tokyo, but clean and modern, with a nice bathroom. Jimbocho station is right nearby via exits A1 or A2. It's good value for Tokyo, around 20 minutes from the Shibuya and Shinjuku hubs, with Tokyo Station and its Shinkansen about 10 minutes away. The Imperial Palace is an easy walk. The street was very quiet on weekends, though I heard some emergency vehicles midweek.

The rooms felt spacious compared with other hotels I've stayed at, so I didn't feel cramped. The location was one of the best I've had in Tokyo: close to the station, convenience stores, and supermarkets, right in the middle of the city. It's easy to get to Shibuya, Shinjuku, Ginza, and Akiba from here. I'll definitely think of this place next time I'm back in Tokyo.

The rooms were clean, with fresh bed linens, and they provide a kimono, sandals, hair dryer, nice shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. The staff were great and really helpful. The moment I walked in, the place had such a unique, interesting, relaxed vibe. I celebrated my birthday with the staff and other travelers, and now we're all friends. Thank you, we'll definitely be back.

We booked the Manga Room for five people, but found just two small double beds, neither of which could fit three people. When we asked the reception how that could be and whether they could provide an extra bed or futon, they had none. We were given only another blanket and pillow. The receptionist wasn't at fault, but management clearly sells rooms for five despite providing only four beds and no futon or anything similar. The hotel is a mess.
