GLOU Shinjuku Family

The room was a great deal and had all the conveniences we needed. It's close to the center of Shibuya, so I'd book it again if I come back.

We were left at the door on the first day of our trip with our 10-year-old daughter and all our luggage, exhausted after the flight. Since there was no reception, we couldn't leave our bags anywhere, and no one answered. We ended up hauling the suitcase around for nothing. This coded hotel is a long way out and the service was terrible, even though getting into the room itself went smoothly. In short, it was a disaster with a child. We canceled, of course without a refund, and found a much better hotel.

The location and bedding were good, and we appreciated the coffee and tea provided when we arrived. But the room was small and on the first floor, the bathroom looked outdated, and one window faced the neighboring building's wall from less than 70 cm away. There weren't any chairs, only a little folding table. I don't see why this place has "family" in its name. It looked nothing like the photos on ebooking. There's no closet space, so I'd definitely avoid it if you're traveling with luggage. We won't return.

We were given a duplex when I stayed with my husband and son. Having one bedroom on each floor gave us some privacy, and they left us several amenities. The accommodation left us very satisfied, and it's close to two stations.
