Hostel Chapter Two Tokyo

The lounge is really cosy and relaxing, though tall people might have to bend quite a bit to get to the other side. The shower and bathroom can get too hot in summer since there’s no air conditioning inside. The stairs weren’t an issue for me with just a backpack and a few bags, but big suitcases could be hard to manage. Staff will help bring your things upstairs. I loved having a river view from my bed, with the Skytree lit up at night. I booked a bed with a view, and it was easily my favourite part. The bed was comfortable and spacious for me as a petite person, and it was so quiet at night that I slept really well. I nearly stayed in just to enjoy the view. The upper bunk has proper steps instead of a ladder, which I really appreciated since I don’t like climbing ladders. I got bed number 8, my favourite number, so I loved that too! The location is great, just three or four minutes on foot from the station depending on how fast you walk. It’s close to Asakusa attractions, and the owner has good recommendations you can access by QR code. The staff were friendly and spoke English really well. I didn’t manage to take many photos because my phone was nearly out of memory, but this is one of the best hostels I’ve stayed in. It’s a small hostel but has a very social feel, with a lovely communal area in the old garage. The dorm beds offer good privacy, and everything was super clean. The staff were great, especially Erika, I love you! Breakfast is simple but good and costs 500 yen. The location in Asakusa is excellent, by the river and 200 meters from Asakusa metro station. Highly recommended.

This was my first proper hostel stay. I met some nice people at the chapter two hotel and had a great time. It felt like staying at a friend’s home.

I loved the spot right by the water. It’s quiet and clean, a welcome break from the city’s big energy, and the sleeping rooms have air conditioning. Breakfast is available for an extra fee, and there’s always tea. This was my first time in Japan, and it was a lovely place to land. The owners are a couple, so the place feels homey and small. Erica is wonderful and so kind!
