Hotel New Takada

The room had everything I needed and was really comfortable. At the front desk, the staff member spoke excellent English, so there was no language barrier at all. I didn't know which nearby restaurants were good, but she recommended a delicious udon place. I'd give her 10 stars if I could, 100%.

There are lots of shops and restaurants nearby, and the staff were friendly. The station is close, with about a 5-10 minute trip to either Shinjuku station or Ikebukuro station. We had a nice stay overall, and for the price and area, most things were acceptable. There was no laundry at the hotel and no microwave in the room, so we had to go back and forth. Our room also had no window, which meant we couldn't tell whether the sun had come up.

The room was comfortable, with a good bed, strong water pressure, complete amenities, and a window facing the street. We couldn't hear any outside noise, and the rooms were perfectly clean. They offer daily room service if you want it. Staff were courteous and kind, and the location was hard to beat. Takadanobaba station is three minutes away, with a street full of restaurants and izakayas nearby. Family mart, 7-eleven, and drug stores are all within a two-minute walk. We had a great stay.

The bath tub was a lovely way to unwind after a busy day, and the room was comfortable for two, though space was a little tight with a 28-inch suitcase. The Wi-Fi was quite poor and really needs improvement. The location is excellent, just 300 m from Takadanobaba Station. Staff were welcoming, friendly, and fluent in English, which made everything smooth and easy. A fantastic choice for its location, helpful service, and cozy amenities. Highly recommended!
