I stayed at Hotel Noel for a couple of days and found it comfortable and well equipped for a very reasonable price. It’s about a five minute walk from the train station, supermarket, restaurants and bars, so there’s plenty close by. You can reach the heart of Tokyo in under 30 minutes. I’d recommend it for a fun stay in Japan.

The room was quite big, clean and comfortable, and getting around from here was easy. The price was reasonable too, so I’d recommend it. What stood out for me was how fully stocked the room was, even though the hotel is old. I’ve stayed in other boutique hotels in different places, but haven’t seen this many things provided. There were branded face masks, emulsions, toners, face wash and lotion, plus toothbrushes, Ora mouthwash, a hairbrush, hair band, cotton buds, razor and shaving gel. Shampoo, rinse and body soap were available without limit, and there was bubble bath too. They also had tea, coffee, sugar and creamer sachets. Other attractive hotels may have lovely rooms but don’t include all these extras.

There are lots of good restaurants within a five minute walk, which makes this a handy spot for a trip or a solo getaway. Nerima Station is just two minutes away on foot. Inside, it’s clean and has a relaxed city hotel feel. I stayed over the weekend and really liked it.

The room wasn’t that good, especially for the price. There are plenty of cheaper, better hotels in Ikebukuro, so I don’t see a reason to go out of my way to stay here.
