We were very satisfied with this modest hotel in the heart of the city, where rooms are small, as they generally are throughout Japan. It's set up like an apartment building, so you can get into your room without interacting with anyone, and the staff are helpful whenever you need them. This was our first stop on our trip to Japan. Arigato 🙏

Just so you know, this is a love hotel, which felt super misleading. I've heard of families arriving and being completely shocked when they found out what the hotel actually was. You wouldn't know it's a love hotel until you get there. There are a lot of shady people around, though it didn't feel unsafe at all. The room itself was nice, and it's right in front of the station with access to any line that goes through Ikebukuro. Just don't bring your family.

I've stayed here twice and would come back when I want to keep costs down. The rooms are pretty mediocre, but the price and location make this a solid budget option. It also operates as a love hotel, though there was nothing unsettling about that.

The service was very poor. When foreign guests had problems, the front desk wouldn't communicate with them and used Japanese to dodge the issue.

A budget kind of place.
