We planned to stay four nights but left after the first. The room heater was broken when we checked in, and there was no one available to contact. The phone number they gave us didn't answer, so we spent the night cold and couldn't sleep. We moved to another hotel the next day. The bathroom was very dirty, and used bedsheets had been left along the first-floor hallway. The train station is also far away, so I really don't recommend this place. The owners are Chinese and, in my view, care only about profit rather than guest satisfaction. Be careful if you're considering a stay here.

It's very quiet here, with no noise at all, and the people are respectful. The place is spacious and affordable, close to great city spots. You can walk to the market, restaurants, subway, temples, and Tokyo's tallest tower, which is impressive. The bathroom is shared, but other guests can't be heard. The mattresses are thin, though still sleepable. Rooms are cleaned when guests leave; I wish the bathrooms were cleaned every day. They weren't dirty, and for the price they were acceptable. I recommend staying here.

For the low price, I'd recommend this place if you can put up with some shortcomings. Sensoji Temple is under a 15-minute walk away, Asakusa Station takes about 20 minutes on foot, there's a convenience store within 10 minutes, and a sauna is just three minutes away if you want to freshen up elsewhere. The room was larger than I expected, and the blanket and pillows seemed fairly clean, though there was a slight smell even in the room. It felt more like a hostel or goshiwon than a hotel. You get only two towels regardless of how long you stay. Bathrooms are between the stairs, a bit far from the rooms, with two small stalls per floor. They provide shampoo and body wash. There are a microwave, coffee pot, and rice cooker on every floor, plus a washing machine on the fourth floor for 100 yen. The bathrooms seemed to be cleaned, but they're old. At night I saw bugs in the shared bathrooms, though not in the rooms. The bathrooms and especially the first floor smelled a little. I only encountered the cleaning staff before checkout and don't know whether they were the owners. You have to contact the owners directly if you want to meet them; both check-in and checkout are self-service.
