Khaosan Tokyo Samurai

The staff handled an awkward mistake with real kindness. After checking out, I realized I'd accidentally taken their lock 🔓 back to Taiwan. They didn't blame me at all, which left me touched and a bit embarrassed. My bed was comfortable, the staff were friendly and professional, and the station is close for sightseeing and getting around. I had an excellent stay at Guest House Tokyo Samurai, and that hospitality made it especially memorable. I'll definitely return on my next Tokyo trip. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city!

It's easy to sleep here because it's comfortable, quiet, and the beds are good. The place isn't especially social, but it has a friendly feel somehow. Staff are hands-off, which works well, though reception is available and happy to help in the middle of the day if needed. The lounge and kitchen are a good size and well equipped. Everything was spotlessly clean and the location was great. Late check-in was super easy with prior arrangement, and they were quick to reply to emails and very organized.

I stayed over the New Year holidays and found it good for solo travellers. The facility was clean, the location was great, the beds were comfortable, and the air conditioning worked well.

It's a small, old place, but clean, and the owner was very kind. I stayed earlier this year. When the windows are open, there's noise from people outside late at night and early in the morning. My main issue was the rule against packing after 10pm. People enjoy their holidays until the last minute, and 10pm the night before feels too early, especially if they have an early flight. Maybe guests could be asked to open suitcases quietly, or the cutoff could be moved later. People should use common sense about noise in the first place, though.
