Please don't book this place. On my first trip to Japan, I booked through Agoda, but the check-in details never arrived. We got there late at night in cold weather and couldn't find the room. There were no contact details, no sign, nothing. After struggling for a while, I had to book somewhere else. I explained what happened to Agoda and asked them to cancel and refund me, but customer service said the hotel refused to cancel for free. This feels like a scam. Other guests have described the same problem in reviews on Agoda, but Agoda hasn't done anything and still supports this place.

The place looks old, and the toilet is small and doesn't have the Japanese toilet technology. The location is alright, not great, but close to Ikeukuro. The wifi is absolutely diabolical if you're trying to get work done. Honestly, go somewhere else for a better place.

The cleaning was awful. The blankets were covered with black dust, like they hadn't been washed properly, the air purifier filter was full of dust, and the kitchen scissors were greasy. They offer just one bed for two people and a sofa that's too small for even one, yet claim they can fit up to four. They also ignored my request to cancel, which I made three weeks ahead. This is more like a B&B than a hotel. Book here and you'll regret it.
