Mitsui Garden Hotel Ginza Gochome Hotel

The room was spacious and well kept, with an easy-to-use bidet that felt cleaner than regular toilet paper. The bath had enough room even for me at 1.83cm, 6 foot. We needed an umbrella for 2-3 days, and there were plenty for guests in the lobby. It was our first time using a public onsen, but it was quiet enough that I felt comfortable. You bathe naked, with separate areas for men and women, and no phones are allowed, which is good for privacy. The hotel was in a great spot, within walking distance of most places we wanted to eat. Staff were attentive, polite, and helpful, even with questions about other hotel stays and ordering things online for delivery to our hotel. The facilities were nice, and laundry was easy to use, though there are only 3 machines. When one is free, grab it, and make sure your clothes are dry before you leave. I forgot to check and ended up hair-drying everything in our room. Save your ¥100 coins! There was simple cardio equipment too. We'd definitely stay here again.

Getting around was easy from here, and the staff helped us throughout the trip. Nearby, there are lots of places to eat, cafes, and convenience stores, with trains and Ginza shopping easy to reach. The rooms were clean and modern, and weren't super tiny compared with many other Tokyo hotels.

The location is good, and there's an onsen, but the hotel itself is basic. The room has only 6 hangers for storage, with no shelves or drawers at all. Also, every light switches on or off together, so a bathroom trip in the middle of the night means lighting up the whole room. Really annoying.

Mitsui Garden - Ginza was such a great experience that I'll stay here whenever I come to Tokyo. The room was much bigger than others I've had in the city, and staff greeted me every day. Getting to different train lines was extremely convenient, and late-night combini stores are just around the corner. When I traveled to Kumamoto, I didn't need most of my luggage. They generously offered either to transport it or keep it for me to pick up when I got back. I'm already looking forward to returning!
