I was looking for somewhere for one night near Hatagaya train station, and this place suited me well. The room was clean and comfortable, with a hot shower, a small bathtub, a fridge, and a TV. There are plenty of restaurants, bars, and other amenities nearby. It was among the cheapest hotels in the area and good value for the money. There’s a 2am curfew, but that didn’t bother me since I had an early start.

We got delayed by our flight and train and arrived later than expected. The booking said reception was open 24 hours, but there was nobody there for over an hour. The only note said they’d be back in five minutes, and the lights were off. Worst experience ever. Do not go here.

The room was dusty, and the air felt stale. The bathroom was much smaller than the ones we’d had elsewhere, with hardly any room to move. I’m 6 ft2, so my knees nearly touched the door when I used the toilet. The beds weren’t comfortable, and their arrangement seemed to waste space; I think rotating them would have helped. We had to pay cash because the card machine was out. That should’ve been a warning, but we paid and then wished we hadn’t. I didn’t make the booking, but my companion was seriously thinking of moving to another hotel for about $110 a night, which would have been better.

The freeway is right outside the window, so it’s super noisy, and the rooms are old. Prices can jump to nearly double or even triple on busy weekends. I wouldn’t recommend it. Book early and find somewhere else.
