Oasis Minamiyukigaya

If you're in Ota Ward, I'd highly recommend this place. It's a lovely traditional detached house with lots of handcrafted pieces. Everything was clean and well cared for, and the landlord was friendly and artsy.

The quiet atmosphere made it easy to get a good night's sleep, and the owner was kind, easy to talk to, and keen to help whenever I needed something. The house was fully equipped for daily life, with detailed instructions in both Japanese and English, so even visitors who don't speak Japanese can feel at ease. I found the Japanese-style rooms at Oasis Minamiyukigaya while searching online for private lodging and knew right away it was the one. On arrival, I found a traditional Japanese house decorated with artwork from different countries. I'm really into art, so I loved that. My room was traditional Japanese too, which made for a great experience as a foreigner. I'd definitely recommend it.

The owner was so kind, and I came away with a happy memory and a good rest. Although it's a guesthouse, the rooms are separate, so each person can have privacy. The shared bathroom and shower were comfortable as well. It's a little far from downtown, but the low price made up for that. Thank you for your consideration.

I stayed for two days and one night, and would definitely choose this place again next time I'm in Tokyo. It's close to the station, with easy trips to Jiyugaoka and Shinagawa. The spacious old wooden house is full of Japanese antiques, and the shared areas have old books and art books. It felt comfortable, like visiting my grandmother's family home. I think foreign visitors interested in Japanese art would enjoy it too. My room was a clean Japanese-style room, and the bins for sorting trash by the entrance were handy. The owner was a cheerful, friendly woman. I was grateful to be able to chat with her about all sorts of things.
